The foundation aims to improve the welfare of dogs at home and abroad, in particular dogs from shelters and foster care situations.

The foundation seeks to achieve this goal, among other things, by:

• Taking in and guiding dogs

• The careful rehoming of dogs through adoption
• Supporting animal shelter organizations

Activities

To achieve its objectives, Stichting Hoop Voor Honden undertakes the following activities, among others:

• Providing temporary shelter for dogs
• Guiding dogs that need extra training or rehabilitation
• Selecting suitable adoptive parents through a careful adoption procedure
• Providing aftercare and guidance after adoption
• Organizing fundraising campaigns for food, blankets, crates, and other supplies
• Collaborating with other animal welfare organizations

Fundraising

The foundation raises funds to enable its activities. This is done through, among other things:

• Donations from private individuals
• Periodic donations
• Sponsorship packages for companies
• Promotions and events
• Material donations such as food, blankets, crates, and other supplies

All funds received are used exclusively to achieve the objectives of the foundation.

Management and expenditure of assets

The foundation is a non-profit organization. Any income is spent entirely on improving the welfare of dogs and carrying out the foundation's activities.
In the event of dissolution, any surplus will be donated to a Public Benefit Organization (ANBI) with a similar objective.
The board is responsible for the careful management of financial resources. An annual financial overview is prepared.

Board members receive no remuneration for their work. Only actual expenses incurred can be reimbursed.
