Joris Laan – Chairman

My name is Joris Laan and I am the Chairman of the Hope for Dogs Foundation. Hope for Dogs originated from something very simple: the feeling that you cannot look away when an animal needs help. Dogs are loyal, honest, and pure. They do not ask for much, except safety, care, and love. And unfortunately, that is precisely what is still lacking all too often, both at home and abroad. With our foundation, we dedicate ourselves to dogs originating from shelters and foster situations. Dogs that sometimes have a past behind them in which trust was not a given. Our goal is clear: to improve their well-being and give them a second chance in a safe, stable environment. What is important to me is that we do this in an honest and responsible manner. Transparency, care, and respect are paramount to us — towards the dogs, but also towards our adopters, donors, and volunteers. We do not operate for profit, but out of commitment and the public interest. Together with my fellow board members, we are building, step by step, a foundation that stands for reliability and dedication. Every successful adoption, every donation, and every form of support makes it possible to offer hope again to a dog that needs it.
